Weekly bin collections. Either free bin bags or wheelies, householders choice.

Support for more re-cycling through social enterprises.

More re-cycling points and existing ones to be more citizen friendly.

Cleaner Streets.

More litter bins, more street cleaners.

More Neighbourhood Police.

Less congested streets. Traffic congestion must be tackled & reduced.

Charges for parking permits should be abolished.

Policy to accept the reality of the car in today's world.

Parking charges to be reviewed to encourage shoppers.

Encourage more community groups to access existing funds for local regeneration and neighbourhood improvement projects.

Formation of Areas within the Borough based on former Market Town Boroughs or Parish Councils, with powers to direct local services.

Planning Policy to be changed to support people not profit.

Lower Council tax by reducing Political Correctness, less beaurocracy and sensible procurement.

Freeze on Councillors allowances until they are individually performance linked to serving & representing their communities.

Sports

All facilities to remain manned by Council staff.

Open School facilities to the public.

Repair and reopen Brighouse pool. Repair & renovate Elland & Sowerby Bridge pools.

More English.  More Democratic

Pensioners

Not forcing the sale of pensioners homes to pay for nursing home fees.

Linking any increases in Council Tax to the national increase in state pension.

England

Resisting the destruction of a thousand years of existence.

Return of an English Parliament to protect our Country.

Encourage patriotic pride in England, our customs and heritage.

Positively promote that all the people of England, irrespective of ethnic background, work together and pull together for the Country where we live and which we love.

Make St Georges day our National day of celebration.

Referendum on all issues of National importance.

The English Democrats will put English interests first and not last.  We demand a better deal for The People of England.

Immigration

Tighter immigration controls.

Immediate expulsion of all who are bogus or here illegally.

Formation of an English border police force.

The Environment

Safeguarding the green and pleasant land of England.

More Democracy

Directly elected Council leader or Executive Mayor.

Democratically accountable local Judges and Police chiefs.

End of Regional Bodies and ‘Quangos'.

Chief Executives of all NHS Trusts to be elected from and in the areas they administer.

Director of our children's Education Authority to be democratically accountable.

Liberal on Social Justice, Conservative on Spending, Pragmatic on everything else!

No more cuts of home helps for the elderly in their own homes.

Remove political correctness from all local government departments.

Support for local Grammar Schools.

Police to concentrate on tackling crime and not acting as politically correct social workers.

Local community housing for local people.

THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS BELIEVE

Political correctness is the scourge of modern times. We will take whatsoever measures are necessary to remove it from local government.

We need nurses and home helps not so-called diversity managers and outreach workers on inflated salaries.

There is free residential care for the elderly in Scotland - but not in England. The people of England pay for this. If it is good enough in Scotland, it is good enough for all.

The rule of law has become a joke. We will demand proper policing to protect society and not the criminals.

Stronger communities are built by allocating local housing to local people.

Care homes for the elderly should not be closed simply to make way for so-called asylum seekers.

We should bring British troops back from policing a civil war in Iraq.

We need an English party to represent English interests.
