Calderdale's road maintenance program for 07/08 costing some £2.5 million has been fixed and approved by the Tory Cabinet.

Works to be carried out in the Brighouse area are estimated at £335,000 of the full amount within the Borough. (13%)

These are as follows:-

Principle Roads - None

Classified Roads - None

Unclassified Roads - Woodhouse Lane, £150,000. - Ship St, £5,000. - Rastrick Common, £65,000. - Mission St, £25,000

Footways - Bottomley St, £10,000. - Slead Area, £80,000

I make no comments, other than to acknowledge that apparently so few roads in the Brighouse area warrant much attention. It must mean that our roads are the best in the Borough. Any other views out there?
