That little piece of England that is forever gone..
and should now cost the taxpayer less!
The EU Lisbon Treaty has been passed by Parliament. Much as expected but never the less my heart was greatly saddened when I read the press reports which ensued.
Perhaps, as we cannot rely upon our MP's to stick to their pre-election promises or properly represent our views with their votes, we could now call for their salaries to be reduced by 50%. They are now only making half our laws (or is it as much as half ? ) and the EU is generating the rest. Surely if this were industry, an employee only doing half a job would be made redundant. They should think themselves lucky to be allowed to carry on at reduced salary. As a Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the English Democrats Party, I will certainly be offering to do the job, if elected, for only half the money!Back to entriesComment on this entry
