New Tories; Can We Trust Them?

David Cameron is, it seems to me, using the ‘expenses scandal' to re-invigorate his Westminster Tories. Firing the ‘old guard', irrespective if the left, right or centre.  Anybody who might be considered liabilities, (made poor judgments). Is he so certain of a victory at the next election or is he hoping by this tactic to get one?

Inviting a new breed of people (Joannas) to join up and try to become New Tory MPs. People who are high profile, popular campaigners and dedicated well-known characters. They could be rewarded with the Tory candidature of a few remaining seats which would, under any other circumstances be a Tory no-hoper, (Wigan springs to mind, local elections May 08), and in the process, add their popularity to the Good Old Establishment Blue Team.

Opportunistic it is; is it convincing? I'm certainly sure that DC will do anything to get into #10.

Over to you now Gordon, what will you come up with in response or, too busy ‘getting on with the job' of saving the world from economic disaster?

But what of poor Julie, that innocent bride; Now that her hubbies no job on the ride.
