Disgrace...
Being one of the thousands of people suffering from over-payment of Working Families Tax Credit in 2002/3 I find this a total disgrace.
I have been hounded by the tax man, I went through every appeal possible and finally last September I was told I had to pay back over £3000 within 12 months. I had to borrow the money to pay it back. I will still be paying it back in 2012.
They though can continue to claim for 2 months. It is a joke, no wonder people do not trust people in power.
