I  attended a Muster Of King's Scouts and Queen's Scouts with Bob Bushell Kingston District Commisioner at Kings College School Wimbeldon with Scouts and Mayors from Merton, Croydon, Sutton and Richmond. I myself am a Queens Scout, If it was not for my Scouting and gaining my Queen Scout award in Worcester, I don't think I would now be Deputy Mayor. As I gained an importance sense of community involvement and charity work, while involved in the movement. It was good to meet Queen and king Scout from the borough and share story's of scouting.

Friday 21 September Kingston Univeristy Freshers fair and Sowing the Seeds of Peace Event

I was fun popping back into Kingston Uni to say hello to new students and see what the clubs and societies have been up to. It a while since I was a student there by have fond memories of my time as a Sabbatical officer and I am now very proud to be a local councillor representing the University ward. A position I would not have attained if I had not been a past student so involved with the local community and Student politics.   http://www.kusu.co.uk/    http://www.kingston.ac.uk/

The Great River Race 2007. The Race was a challenging, 22-mile course from Richmond, Surrey, to Island Gardens, Tower Hamlets opposite the Cutty Sark at Greenwich. To which I was not quite prepared for and had a few blister and a sore back when I finished. But a huge thank you to all my team from the Kingston Rotary and of course my rowing partner Bella.

Kingston Carnival, Music Awards and a visit to Minima Yacht Club

It was great to see the residents of Kingston joining together to enjoy the carnival.  The event is very close to my heart as I used to sit on the organisations committee for the All Nations Health Fair, the event that grew into the carnival.  I was out with other volunteers from the Save the World Club as Green Police ensuring the carnival goers acted responsibly with thier rubbish.
