King Athelstan - Cycle Shelter Grand Opening
King Athelstan School developed an good Travel Plan in March this year. Within their Travel Plan they set a target to increase the number of pupils, staff and parents cycling therefore contributing to an overall reduction in car use. Along with cyclist training and a cycle policy the school decided they needed somewhere secure and dry for bicycles to be left during the school day, they applied to Transport for London who agreed and built a state of the art shelter for 20 cycles.
I was very pleased to attend and meet the main guest Debra the Zebra !

On Sunday 30 March 2008, were I am also looking for other runners for rasie funds for the Mayor's Charity.
But I did beat, a good friend from my Univeristy Athletics Day's, Ross, but I am sure he will beat me next time.

The ASICS Kingston Running Festival is an endurance running event covering the distances of 16 miles or 8.2 miles. The scenic run loop is extremely flat and takes place in Kingston, Surrey. The route follows the Thames Towpath, taking in Hampton Court Palace and Thames Ditton before returning to Kingston Town Centre.
I was very proud to inpsect the Air Training Corps 328 (Kingston upon Thames) Squadron
