Roger Gambba-Jones

I am a Conservative member on South Holland District Council in South Lincolnshire and a cabinet member for Strategic Planning. I also have responsibility for the E-Government agenda, Member Development and something called the Operational Development Team (ODT). The ODT is a high level service area that covers HR, performance monitoring, IT and corporate projects. I am also the Chairman of the Development Control Committee, which is challenging, sometimes contentious and something I am really interested in, development that is, not just being chairman!
I've been an elected member since 1999 and was still in the Royal Air Force when I was elected. I left the RAF in 2005 after 38 years and now work part time in Spalding (our biggest town). My ward is called Spalding Wygate and is the main area of housing development in the district.
