GORDAN RAMSAYS YORKSHIRE PUDDS
Try this out it makes great yorkshire puddings just like mum use to make
Yorkshire Puddings:
- 225g plain flour
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 300ml milk
- 1 1/2 tbsp beef dripping for batter
- 100g beef dripping, for cooking -use vegetable oil if you can't get hold of dripping, enough to thoroughly grease your tins.
To make the batter, sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Add the eggs, spoonful of the beef dripping, and beat together with half the liquid until all the lumps have gone. Then add the remaining liquid and leave to rest. Place a spoonful of dripping in each pudding compartment and heat the tray in the oven until piping hot. Whisk the batter again and pour into the piping hot pudding tins filling each section by three quarters. Bake immediately for approximately 10 minutes, and don't open the oven until the very end! Re-heat when required and turn the puddings upside down to crisp them.
