WORKING TOGETHER

Last night I went to the Kinsley Labour club for a social get together and presentation to Nic Dakin who  lead the Labour group for over ten years both in control and for the last four years in opposition and that was down to one vote in two wards, which demonstrates how important your vote is, and speaking of voting we are now back on the campaign trail in the Brigg and Wolds ward where 3 seats are up for election, so again in that ward they have the opportunity to VOTE 3 times for LABOUR.

DAY ONE

Today I attended the member training and induction event at Normanby hall where newly elected members were briefed on what they have let them selfs in for the next four years. Whilst their the Scunthorpe Telegraph called up to do a interview and photo shoot after being elected Leader of the Labour group last night [READ ALL ABOUT IT] then it was back to the Labour group office to start planning for the AGM of the council with the group secretary,it then was off to the Park residents association then home, first day over with.

LEADER OF THE LABOUR GROUP

Tonight is the AGM of the Labour group and we will be electing a new leader after Nic Dakin has stood down as a Councillor to concentrate on his new role as principal of John Leggot college. I will be putting my name forward after serving 8 years as his deputy, I see this as a great opportunity after winning control of North Lincs to serve and work with the communities both rural and urban.

UP THE IRON

Well done Scunthorpe united it made me feel proud along with other residents and supporters as you passed on your way to your celebration dinner at Normanby hall of which i was invited to,but I gave my invite to a true supporter who turns out at home and away games come rain or shine and to those fans I aplaud you.

LABOUR TAKES CONTROL IN NORTH LINCS

The people of Crosby/Park returned their 3 Labour Councillors last night but also North Lincs council returned to Labour control with overall control with 22 seats.
