On Friday I attended part of the Great Youth Debate held at Pittwood House. It was a fantastic event with 1,000 young people attending a host of activities. There was a debate which, I am told, was very interesting and I think it is important we listen to the young people and find out what their main priorities are. We then need to find out if their ideas are feasible. In the past we have introduced a skate park at Sheffield Park and a mountain bike track which was all done after consultation from the Great Youth Debate.

It gives young people the chance to take part and learn about local democracy and have their say on issues which affect them. It is a very worthwhile event and I would like to thank people for their comments.
