The sun shone on the parade

Were you woken by that dreadful storm early on Saturday morning? Well, the stalwarts from Surbiton Rotary, and others, were out in Victoria Road at 6am setting up the stalls for the Surbiton Festival. I don't think they had dried out properly even by lunchtime!

But the morning stayed dry and was even quite bright for the Parade.  RBK1 followed the impressive Royal British Legion band down St Mark's Hill and along Victoria Road - I've never taken part in a parade before and it was great fun, waving to everyone and having them waving back.

Classic Police cars joined in the parade.

A scene you don't often see at Surbiton Station ...
