Launch of Voice in Birmingham to communities
It was a real pleasure working with the people from Birmingham City Council again, I bogged earlier in the year how we have spent a day promoting voice.
Well today we have been at the launch of
Anna Tan from the CLG came along and gave the background to the project and we were all entertained by a the Jaguar Charity Pantomime Society who explained in a funny panto way (they were all dressed up!) what the internet was and how people could use it to help them promote what they were doing. I then gave a demonstration of how the site worked and some tips on what to keep in mind when building your site. Towards the end people from the different communities asked some great questions and then went on to register some of their sites.
Below is a gentleman from the Birmingham Irish Heritage Group and he is now online with the e-voice system and ready to build his website which I look forward to seeing grow.
