On Monday 16 January 2006 in Coombe Road, Kingston, Networkrail will be pigeon proofing the rail bridge. Coombe Road will be reduced to a single alternative traffic flow controlled by signals. Workimg times off peak 10am to 4pm. Delays possible

Work has started on pigeon proofing the bridge in Coombe Road, Norbiton, and it should be finished by 20th January.  Most residents are in favour of this action but there are concerns in case the job is not done correctly.  One resident is particularly keen to ensure that no harm or cruelty is done to the pigeons.

As a keen bird watcher, (but not a twitcher) I do not want any distress to pigeons, just to stop them pooping over people as they go on their way.  Nor do I want anyone to slip up!

Amazing to find Emily as top name for girls in Kingston as Emily was my mother's name.

We are now in the year 2006, the next few months are going to be very interesting.  I am also learning new tricks - if I master the blog.

I do get a bit depressed when walking around Kingston to see all the beer cans thrown down, we have an attractive borough, it is a shame to see the rubbish cast down in such a thoughtless manner.

On another note, I met one of my ex-pupils today.  She looked very attractive and seemed to be very positive about her future, although I got the impression that life had not been easy for her.
