As shown we were entertained in the true Chinese tradition. We also saw a variety of acts from King Fu to Line dancing. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

A wonderful evening was spent by myself and my Escort, David at the Scout's Gang Show. We were both surprised at the wonderful talent of all the scouts in the show.
We were very pleased to see Susan & Bob Bushell again, they looked after us very well.
This image was the last of the show, a very pleasant evening. Thanks to all those who help to produce the show and promoting scouting for all young people.

Citizenship Saturday 3rd February 2007
51 New Citizens were sworn in today. They came from a number of countries, amongst which were Phillipines, Brazil, Shri Lanka, Africa, and New Zealand.
The Citizenship Ceremony is one of favourite events I attend. It is always a great pleasure to welcome new citizens. As you can see they all have wide smiles on their faces.
Civic Service at the Mosque Friday 2nd February 2007
The Civic Service at the Mosque was a most rewarding experience. Many representatives from a number of religions attended. The Mayor, Cllr Mary Reid, and I attended prayers with the women, as it is tradition for women to pray separately. We both felt very welcomed by all and were pleased that so many people attended. A special thanks to the women who took such good care of us.
Tu-B'Sehevet (New Year for the Trees) , Murray House Friday 2nd February 2007Tu-B'Sehevet is a Jewish birthday celebration for Trees. To recognise this New Year, the Mayor planted a tree in the garden of Murray House. After the Mayor had cast the first shovel of earth, Rabbi Danny Rich, Father Hislop, myself and residents all added our shovel of earth. The tree was a Russett apple tree so we all look forward to the fruit in the future.
The board tells us all about the celebration
The Tree has been planted - good luck tree!
