Launch of the Mayor's Charity 'Young Kingston' 2nd May 2007

The successful launch of the Mayor's Charity took place at Warren House.

Everyone was pleased with the numbers of those who came.

Myself with Katie Goodyear, yet another ex-Coombe Girls' School pupil!

It was a successful evening and launch.  There will  be another launch in the autumn, this time for young people.

Junior Music Workshop 2007 Monday 30th April 2007

An amazing evening was spent listening to the young singers from 17 Primary Schools of the Borough.  The music was lead by Francis Goodhand who chose some wonderful
songs, including a number of his own.  The pupils learnt many of them during the afternoon.  Thanks also to Nicholas Smith, Head of Kingston Music and Arts Service for all his hard work.

Mayor's Awards 24th April 2007

This is another ceremony to which I was very pleased to attend - the Mayor gave awards to a number of employees whose service to the Council is worthy of special commendation.
