Last night in honour of the warmer weather I chose to wear a Christmas themed tie to the council meeting.
This afternoon I was surprised to come out of the council offices at whitfield and could immediately smell and see smoke in the air. It reminded me of australian summers during the bushfire season. Not far away i could see plumes of smoke coming from a grassfire beside the A2.
I understand that this fre caused traffic chaos in the area.
I hope the fire authority contained the fire quickly.
