This evening i went to Ash to be part of the sandwhich Neighbourhood Forum. The topic tonight was adult services as in the words of one attendee, adults matter as much as children.
The over 65 age group is according to some analysts projected to be 50% of the population by 2020 and the needs of this sector of the community needs to be carefully considered.
There was much spirited discussion and it is hoped that service provision can be improved for this vital section of our community. It was stressed that this section of the community provides the bulk of our volunteering workforce.
