NEW PLANS TO TACKLE TROUBLEMAKERS
A new plan to tackle troublmakers in Bottesford is to be introduced in a bid to combat anti-social behaviour.
The scheme will include the filming by police of those youths embarking on unacceptable behaviour, which will then be taken into schools to identify the culprits before inviting parents to view the antics of any offenders.
It is disappointing that a number of areas in Bottesford as well as neighbouring communities remain hotspots for such behaviour, however the quality of life for people within and around their own homes is of paramount importance and as such it is pleasing to see that the plans have the support of local Schools and Councillors.
DOES BOTTESFORD NEED MORE DEVELOPMENT ?
As North Lincolnshire Council is embarking on a number of public consultations on future development needs for the area known technically as the 'Local Development Framework - Core Strategy', Bottesford along with other communities needs to ask itself what its requirements are for the future.
Has Bottesford had its fair share of development over the years and shouldn't be developed any further ?
Does Bottesford require further housing development and if so, what type and should it be limited ?
All valid questions that need due consideration over the coming months.

Are the traffic lights at Yaddlethorpe Cross Roads as effective as they could be ?
Undoubtedly the installation of traffic lights at the cross roads a few years ago has been a big improvement to both road users and pedestrians in terms of traffic flows and safety.
There is however a growing concern that road users are experiencing difficulties when turning right having reached the junction from each of the four approaches but particularly from Manor Road and Moorwell Road when attempting tp access Messingham Road.
Equally those on foot are posing the question as to whether it would be of greater benefit to have a 'four way' crossing patrol system as opposed to the present two.
