WHAT AREAS OF BOTTESFORD SHOULD BE BUILT ON AND WHICH NOT ?
As North Lincolnshire Council goes out to consultation on which areas of land should be allocated for housing and employment purposes up to the year 2021, local residents have the opportunity to express which areas could be developed and which areas sholudn't.
The consultation document known officially as 'The Housing and Employment Land Allocations Development Plan Document - Issues and Options' includes all areas of land offered up for development by local landowners. This doesn't mean, however, that all of these will go forward and anyone objecting to any of the proposals now has the right to do so.
Those areas in and around Bottesford include that between Messingham Road and Scotter Road, bounded by Bottesford Beck and at the ends of Yaddlethorpe High Street & Croft Lane and to the rear of Moorwell Road. (Proposed use Residential, Reference 36 - 1).
The area west of Scotter Road South and south of Moor Road (Proposed use Residential, Reference 36 - 6).
The whole of the area from Bottesford's border at Holme Hall Avenue up to the boundary and village of Holme (Proposed use Residential, Reference 36 - 7).
The NSD and former Ericsson site on South Park Road, east of Scotter Road (Proposed use Residential, Reference 36 -12).
And finally the area west of Scotter Road South and north of Moor Road (Proposed use Residential, Reference 36 - 13).
Anyone wishing to make their views known on these proposals can obtain an official form from myself by telephoning 296348 and I'll be happy to send one out to you.
All representations need to be submitted to the Council no later than 16th November 2007.

Sceptical BUS PETITIONS PRESENTED TO COUNCIL
Residents from two areas of Bottesford took the opportunity to present petitions to the Council last Friday morning (12.10.2007.) regarding the loss of bus services over the last few months.
They expressed their concerns that the new route 11, replacing the previous 2, 3 & 5 routes, did not run frequently enough to allow people using it sufficient time in town for it to be effective.
Despite this, initial useage of the service looked promising and it was agreed to now survey the number of people using the new service in preperation for the assessment once the trial of route 11 is completed at the end of March 2008.
