Celebrating Working Together

A special Recognition Ceremony is being held on Thursday 10 July to celebrate seven schools achieving the Bath & North East Somerset Inclusion Quality Mark this year and one of these is one of our local Schools St. Michael's Church of England Junior School.

Bath & North East Somerset Council awards the Quality Mark to reward schools for inclusive practice. This means that these schools have demonstrated that everyone within their school is included, that diversity is celebrated and there are equal opportunities for all pupils.

Pupils, staff, parents and governors from St. Mary's Church of England Primary School, Timsbury; Combe Down Church of England Primary School; St. Michael's Church of England Junior School; Peasedown St. John Primary School, Freshford Church of England Primary School, Oldfield and Ralph Allen schools will be at a Ceremony at Bath's Guildhall where they will receive their plaques and certificates from Bath & North East Somerset Council's Chair, Cllr David Bellotti

Pupils from each school will give a presentation on something demonstrating inclusive practice within their own schools including music, song, dance drama and spoken word.

Cllr Bellotti said: "I congratulate these schools on their achievement and look forward to meeting representatives from the seven schools and seeing the presentations from the pupils."

Well done St Michaels pupils for all of their hard work.

I agree! I go into St. Michael's taking school assemblies, both my children go there (one starting in September), and my wife is a governor. You might think I'd be biased and maybe I am, but truly, I am constantly impressed with the teachers and staff - their commitment to the children and both their dedication to the school and community. St. Michael's is a great school and we love it. Well done St. Michael's and thank-you for all you are doing.
