Twerton Bath

We have been working with the council to secure new play equipment in two of our local parks and we have got agreement for the funding of new equipment and park layouts at Pennyquick Playing fields and Woodhouse Park ( Redland Park ).

1, Pennyquick playing fields will be enhanced with new equipment for 8 to 13 year old being installed, this will include some remodelling  of some of the present lay out of the sight including the thinning of the trees  by the young children's play area that has been causing concern for some time now. The final designs are being drawn up and the scheme will be installed by the end of March 2009.

2, Woodhouse Park is to have a remake with new fencing and equipment for 8 to 13 year old Children being installed including the use of the bank that is full of brambles at the moment. We have asked that a metal fence is put around the site to prevent vandalism. We have asked that Somer Housing who own this site contribute to ensuring that equipment for younger Children is renewed and updated as we want to encourage this park to be used by the younger children in the area.

All of this works must be in hand by the end of March 2009.
